Spring Break 2025 – USS Lexington
Summer Camp 2023 – Camp Buck Toms, Tennessee
Located on the shores of a private cove on Watts Bar Lake in Roane County, Camp Buck Toms is the pride of the Great Smoky Mountain Council. Unlimited opportunities for adventure and growth await among our scenic hills dotted with Indian mounds and rich in wildlife.
Sixteen campsites – each with a mix of four- and eight-person Adirondacks and an 18? x 20? shelter with electricity – accommodate more than 600 Scouts. Our modern, spacious dining hall with full commercial kitchen feeds campers quickly and comfortably, our training center hosts expanded STEM programming, and the Jane Manly Museum preserves the council’s rich history.

$750 per scout plus MB/Class costs and trading post spending money (est. $800 total)

SCOUT AND SCOUTER DEPOSIT – $100 due by February 17, 2024
The troop will cover the first payment if you need more time and are given assurances for participation.
First payment settled by March 1, 2023
SCOUT PAYMENT 1 – Mid March $150 (to hold merit badge classes) -Partial refund available if cancelled after this date
SCOUTER PAYMENT 1 – Mid March $150 to hold spot at camp
SCOUT PAYMENT 2 – Mid April $200 (to hold spot at camp) – Not-refundable if cancelled after this date.
SCOUTER PAYMENT 2 – Mid April – $150 (non-refundable if cancelled after this point – portion of van for a given headcount)
SCOUT PAYMENT 3 – Mid May – $200 (non-refundable if cancelled after this point – portion of van for a given headcount)
SCOUTER PAYMENT 3 – Mid May – $150 Final Payment plus Medical Forms A, B & C
SCOUT PAYMENT 4 – Mid June – $100 Final Payment (50% refundable after this point- rest of van portion) plus Merit badge fees plus Medical forms A, B & C
For Scout/Adults who want to participate in Mountain Man program (High Adventure, 14 years old):
Scouts is an additional $150 payable by Mid-March
Adults is an additional $250 (split between deposit and Mid April payments)
