BOX BOAT RACES!

Troop 1000 will be heading to Lake Ray Roberts, Johnson Branch, for an on the-the-water experience.
Participants will get a large cardboard box and a lot of duct tape to try to make a lakeworthy vessel.
Patrols have to work together to keep as much water out as possible, traverse a set distance, and keep their vessel above water to win the race. If your boat can make a lap, see if you can add a passenger until it’s a soggy mess.

Leave No Trace demands we pack it in and pack it out. No trash or debris will be left behind.

This is a ONE NIGHT campout due to finals week and Volunteers needed for WARFA training on May 18th.

Scouts need to arrive at RLC at 6:00 pm on Friday April 16 in Class A’s with their day pack containing the 10 essentials (Troop packing list), and their backpack with appropriate packed items. Plus full water bottles, swim suit, swim shoes, towel. and sunscreen.
Campers should return to RLC Saturday May 17 by 7pm.

COSTS: $35 per Scout ($20 food, $5 gas, $5 camping, $5 supplies)
