Philmont 2026 Payment Structure – Starting immediately, here’s our pay schedule:
- We highly recommend using cash, check, Zelle, or Apple/Google Pay to make your payments to avoid transaction surcharges. Payments should be made at the beginning of each quarter.
- $1725 for Philmont 2026 excursion.
- $150 Initial deposit to secure your spot by November 27, 2024
- $500 (estimated) Additional costs (road food, gas, crew t-shirt, incidentals)
- $2075 (estimated) Total cost for Philmont 2026
Four quarterly payments of $528 per person starting in March 2025 to cover the Philmont excursion.

2. July 2025
3. November 2025
4. March 2026.
We will send out kind and timely reminders of payments due.

After 12 months, collection will begin to cover the anticipated incidentals (rental van, gas, overnight fees and food to/from Philmont, crew t-shirts, and any other additional fees yet to be discussed, announced, or considered in our planning to date). Crew participants will be notified of this final cost. Any unused funds will be returned or applied to the scout’s/scouter’s account.
All fundraising (totaled individually) will reduce payments from the end of the payment schedule. For example, a scout who earns $200 in individual fundraising will not need to pay the last 2 $100 payments.
Scouts should fundraise or contribute their own earned-money as much as possible.
If at any time you experience a financial hardship or have trouble with the payment schedule, please contact Ben Porter or Brian Epstein for ways we can adjust or how the Troop can help. We don’t want money to be the barrier to your Scout’s adventure!

Sea Base 2025 Permission form and $150 Deposit Troop Store link are now available
COSTS: $2,175 per person (subject to minor adjustments once final flight and travel arrangement costs become available in late August 2024)
Deposit: $150 due February 26, 2024 through the troop store.
*Note that payment of this deposit represents a commitment that you plan to attend Sea Base in July 2025.
After the deposit – there are two possible payment options:
Option 1: Monthly payments of $150 from March 2024 through March 2025, with a final $75 payment due in April 2025
Option 2: Lump sum payments as follows:
Payment 1: $ 600 due June 24, 2024
Payment 2: $ 600 due October 28, 2024
Payment 3: $ 600 due February 24, 2025
Payment 4: $ 225 due April 21, 2025
