In February, we will be extending the Shooting Sports theme a bit longer with an Archery merit badge completion day.
On Saturday, February 10, 2024 the troop has been invited to a personalized shooting session at
Texas Archery Academy Indoor Range,
18325 Waterview Pkwy, B102 Dallas, TX, 75252
Please enter from the Waterview side of the parking lot as the gates on Frankford are closed at weekends.
The troop will address a number of the bookwork parts at the last meeting in January.
Pre-work:
· Please complete the Archery Merit Badge workbook before coming to the range.
o For Requirement 5, please use option B (Using a Compound Bow)
o For Requirement 2d – 1: Please make an arrow. It should have at least 3 of the elements that were named in 2b. The arrow can be made out of any material (paper, pencil and labels, a stick from the yard and some feathers – anything).
o We will complete 3c, 5e and 5f at the event.
Costs are $25 per archer if you have completed the merit badge workbook requirements.
